As a university assistant prae doc, you will complement/complete the research team around Univ.-Prof. Hon.-Prof. (UQ) Dr. Susanne Reindl-Krauskopf and take over tasks like actively contributing to research and teaching as well as scientific publications and research activities at ALES - Austrian Center for Law Enforcement Sciences.
The focus of our research is criminal law and criminology.
Our Team currently consists of one post doc (on maternity leave), three prae docs, one teaching assistant and one administrative colleagues.
Your future tasks:
You actively participate in research, teaching & administration, which means:
- Contribution to research projects.
- Contribution to publications/scientific articles/scientific talks.
- Contribution to and independent teaching within the scope of the provisions of the collective bargaining agreement.
- Student assistance
- Contribution to the organisation of conferences and symposiums.
- Contribution to administrative tasks in research, teaching and administration.
- Contribution to research center ALES.
- We expect you to finalize your dissertation agreement within 12-18 months.
This is part of your personality:
- Completed Diploma, in the field of law
- Excellent knowledge of Austrian law
- Studie results above average, especially in criminal law
- Excellent command of written and spoken German (native speaker competence)
- Very good command of written and spoken English
- Good command of a further foreign language, which enables legal work in this language
- Independent and results responsible way of working
- Comprehensive IT user skills (at a minimum: MS Office)
- We expect interest in academic writing and research as well as in the development of criminal law including legal methodology
Desireable skills:
- Didactic competences/experience with e-learning
- You should be a team player with high social skills
- Experience in legal practice through legal traineeship, legal internship, collaboration in a public authority of law firm or comparable activities
