Your personal sphere of influence:
As a university assistant prae doc, you will complement the research team around Prof. Christopher Gerner´s working group at the Institute of Analytical Chemistry. The planned research project will focus on the characterization of immediate effects of signal transduction cascades involved in inflammatory processes. By means of multi-omics analysis strategies including phospho/proteomics and metabolomics selcted cell culture model systems will be investigated. Thus, this position requires a high level of commitment and communication.
The contract period upon employment is 4 years. Initially limited to 1.5 years, the employment relationship is automatically extended to 4 years if the employer does not submit a non-extension declaration within the first 12 months.
Your future tasks:
You actively participate in research, teaching & administration, which means:
- You will be involved in research projects and scientific studies on regulatory mechanisms of inflammatory processes focussing on the molecular interactions between proteins, lipids and metabolites
- Experience in the field of bioanalytics is mandatory. Profound interest cell culture model systems, signal transduction and bioinformatics is a must.
- Experience in mass spectrometry will be regarded as an added value
- We expect you to finalize your dissertation agreement within 12-18 months.
- You are working on your dissertation and its completion.
- You hold courses independently to the extent of the provisions of the collective agreement.
- Supervision of students
- You will take on adminstrative tasks in research and teaching.
This is part of your personality:
- Completed master´s/diploma degree in chemistry, preferably in the field of analytical chemistry or equivalent qualification.
- First practice in scientific writing and with research methods such as methodological skills: basic knowledge of bioanalytical chemistry, chromatography and mass spectrometry
- Didactic skills /experience in e-learning
- IT skills: MS Office desired
- Knowledge of university processes and structures and experience abroad is desired
- Very good knowledge of German and English (level B2)
- You are a team player with high social/communicative skills
