Your new working environment:
At the Institute for Civil Law (Univ.-Prof. Dr. Gabriel Kogler) a position as a university assistent (prae doc) is to be filled as soon as possible. The scope of employment is 30 hours/week.
The employment duration is 3 years. Initially limited to 1.5 years, the employment relationship is automatically extended to 3 years if the employer does not terminate it within the first 12 months by submitting a declaration of non-extension. With appropriate work progress, an extension to a total maximum of 4 years is possible.
Interested Persons with a completed degree, above-average academic success, particularly in civil law and private law minor subjects, as well as an interest in basic dogmatic research in Austrian and European civil law are invited to apply.
Your future tasks:
You actively participate in research, teaching & administration, which means:
- You are involved in research projects and scientific studies in the area of Civil Law.
- We expect you to finalize your dissertation agreement within 12-18 months.
- You work on your dissertation and its completion.
- You hold courses independently within the scope of the provisions of the collective bargaining agreement.
- You take on administrative tasks in research, teaching and administration.
This is part of your personality:
- Completed Master's degree or Diploma, in the field of Law
- Above-average academic success, especially good knowledge of Austrian Civil Law
- Basic experience in academic writing and with research methods are beneficial
- Didactic competences / experience with e-learning
- IT user skills
- German proficiency at least at level C1
- Excellent command of written and spoken English
- You should be a team player with high social skills
