Your personal sphere of influence:

As a University Assistant Praedoc you will strengthen the ANTIOX working group at the Department of Nutritional Sciences. With your expertise in laboratory analyses and human studies, you will enrich our young, interdisciplinary and creative team that focuses on national and international collaborations.
Together with PostDocs, you will work in human intervention studies, perform laboratory analyses and, above all, work on the BrainHealth project. You will publish the knowledge gained in prestigious journals.

Contract duration: The contract duration at the time of employment is 4 years. Initially limited to 1.5 years, the employment relationship is automatically extended to 4 years if the employer does not submit a declaration of non-extension within the first 12 months.

Your future tasks:

You actively participate in research, teaching & administration, which means:

  • You will be involved in research projects and human studies.

  • You will carry out laboratory analyses in the field of oxidative stress, DNA damage and metabolism and analyze data sets using advanced statistical methods.

  • You will publish your results internationally

  • We expect you to complete your dissertation agreement within 12-18 months

  • You will work on and complete your dissertation

  • You will teach courses independently in accordance with the provisions of the collective agreement

  • You will take on administrative tasks in research and teaching

This is part of your personality:

  • Completed Master's/Diploma degree in life sciences, ideally nutritional sciences
  • Experience with laboratory analyses and basic statistical methods
  • Ideally experience with human studies
  • First experience in scientific writing
  • Very good knowledge of German and English
  • You should be a team player with high social skills
