Your personal sphere of influence:
The Institute for Constitutional and Administrative Law (Department Prof. Damjanovic) of the University of Vienna has a vacancy for a university assistant ("post doc").
The focus of the position is on constitutional law and general administrative law; a sound knowledge of public law is required.
The employment duration is 3 years.
Your future tasks:
Active participation in research, teaching & administration, which means:
- Developing and strengthening an independent research profile
- Involvement in research projects / research studies
- International publications and presentations
- Responsibility for project applications and the acquisition of third-party funding
- Preparing a habilitation thesis
- Independent teaching of courses as defined
- Supervision of students
- Participation in evaluation measures and quality assurance
- Involvement in the department administration as well as in teaching and research administration
This is part of your personality:
- Doctoral degree/PhD degree (with a published dissertation)
- Comprehensive knowledge of Austrian public law
- High ability to express yourself both orally and in writing
- Excellent command of written and spoken German and English
- IT user skills
- Ability to work in a team
In addition, we expect the successful candidate to have
- Acquaintance with European law
- Teaching experience
- Publications in renowned, subject-relevant media
- Subject-relevant practical experience
- Subject-relevant experience abroad
Desirable qualifications are
- Knowledge of university processes and structures
- Experience of supervising students
