Your personal sphere of play:
The ANTIOX working group (research group of Karl-Heinz Wagner) at the Department of Nutritional Sciences is looking for support in the field of nutritional epidemiology and human studies to work on interdisciplinary research projects. We are a young, creative team with a friendly working atmosphere and focus on national and international collaboration. We combine the fields of nutritional physiology with a focus on biomarker analysis and epidemiology in multidisciplinary research projects.
Your responsibilities will include the processing of nutritional epidemiology data sets and the writing of scientific publications. You will pass on your know-how to Master's and PhD students and take responsibility for your own projects. You will use your expertise to write applications for third-party funding and independently advance research projects. The independent teaching of courses to the extent of the collective contractual provisions is a prerequisite. In addition, active participation in research, teaching and administration and the development and expansion of an independent research profile.
Your future tasks:
Active participation in research, teaching & administration, which means:
- You build up an independent research profile in the field of Nutrition and Epidemiology.
- You are involved in research projects and scientific studies in the area of Nutrition, Epidemiology and Nutritional Physiology.
- You publish internationally and give lectures.
- You apply for projects and raise third-party funds.
- You hold courses independently within the scope of the provisions of the collective bargaining agreement.
- You take on administrative tasks in research, teaching and administration.
This is part of your personality:
• Completed doctoral/PhD studies in subject Nutrition with focus on Epidemiology.
• Ideally postgraduate training in epidemiology
• Understanding of nutrition and disease risk in cohort studies
• Experience with statistical methods for large data sets
• Extensive experience with modeling complex epidemiological data
• Ideally experience with RedCap
• Experience in handling data from large consortia
• Excellent knowledge of German and English lanquage is a significant advantage
• Team player and high social/communicative skills
• You are resilient and highly motivated,
