Job description:
As a Senior Lecturer, you will work in the field of philosophy of science and philosophy of technology. Your field of work is the scientific teaching of the bachelor's and master's degree programs in philosophy as well as the MA program in Epistemologies of Science and Technology. In these areas, you will regularly teach courses on topics such as classical and contemporary philosophy of science and the philosophy of technology.
The 40-hour work week includes 14 semester hours (SWS) of academic teaching. Interested applicants may choose to work 75% (30 hours; 10.5 SWS), but are encouraged to increase their hours to full-time.
Description of tasks:

You independently teach 14 semester hours of courses (full-time basis) at the bachelor's and master's level.

You actively contribute to the (further) development of course and examination formats.

We expect ongoing engagement with the current state of research, further training in teaching methodology, and the assumption of research tasks during semester breaks.

In addition, administrative tasks, in particular in the administration of teaching, are part of the job profile.
Prerequisites for an application or admission requirements

Completed doctorate/PhD in the field of philosophy of science and additional expertise in the field of philosophy of technology and/or STS (Science and Technology Studies) or HOPOS (History of Philosophy of Science)

Several years of independent teaching experience at a post-secondary educational institution

Enthusiasm for passing on knowledge and for university teaching

Excellent knowledge of German and English
