Your personal sphere of influence:

At the Department of Business Analytics and Decisions, a position as a prae doc university assistant is to be filled starting from July 1, 2024.

The contract duration upon appointment is 4 years, with the employment initially being limited to 1,5 years and can automatically be extended to a total of 4 years, provided that the employer does not issue a non-extension notice within a maximum of 12 months.

Your future tasks:

You actively participate in research, teaching & administration, which means:

  • You will participate in research projects and scientific studies in the field of Transportation Analytics (e.g., reliability in vehicle routing)

  • We expect you to complete your dissertation agreement within 12-18 months.
  • You will work on your dissertation and its completion.
  • You will independently conduct teaching activities within the scope of collective bargaining agreements, in the field of Business and Transportation Analytics.
  • You will undertake administrative tasks in research & teaching.
  • You will supervise students.
  • You will participate in publications/scientific presentations.

This is part of your personality:

  • Completed master's or diploma degree in the field of quantitative-oriented business administration, business informatics, or business analytics
  • Initial practical experience in academic writing and research methods
  • Teaching skills / experience in e-learning
  • IT skills, esp. an object-oriented programming language such as C#, Python, or Java
  • Knowledge in: logistics, supply chain management and transport planning would be desirable
  • Excellent English language skills, both written and spoken
  • You are a team player with high social/communication skills.
